The Technology Service Technician II provides commercial feedlots with computer installation, maintenance and troubleshooting software problems on personal computers (PCs) and servers running in a Windows environment.
Essential Functions

Independently conducts site surveys at customer locations in order to determine their needs
Performs standard system installations and tests the functionality of all components
Supports the office staff with proper operation of the systems installed
Provides technical support after initial installation of PC, Server, and other hardware
Determines replacement components necessary for on-site service repairs
Provides summaries of services rendered to the software support team
Inventory Management: physical control, shipping and handling
Accurately completes all required paperwork (time sheets, service orders, expense reports and or purchase card statements and equipment related items) in a timely manner
Performs other duties as assigned
Additional functions
In addition to the essential functions listed above, the incumbent may perform the following additional functions.
Customer Service:Supports customer needs through responding in a timely, professional manner. Demonstrates consideration and a personal stake in customer success.
Communication: Has the ability to understand and convey written and oral information and ideas. Conducts product demonstrations and presentations in an engaging, concise manner appropriate for the audience. Listens attentively and asks questions when necessary.
Self-Management: Manages time and resources and balances competing demands to ensure work is completed.
Job Qualifications
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of two (2) years experience as a Technology Service Technician in the computer industry
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in the following areas: computer repair, TCP/IP networking, and cabling
Experience servicing and working with peripherals such as printers, backups, scanners and modems required
Must maintain a valid driver’s license and good driving record
Preferred Qualifications
Associate’s Degree in a computer related field preferred
Networking experience: Cabling, Indoor and Outdoor Wireless, Switching, Routing, DNS, VPN, Firewalling
Operating Systems: Linux/Unix, Windows Desktop OS, Windows Server OS
Virtualization: VMWARE and Windows Hyper V
Support customers and internal staff
Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) certification or MCP preferred.
