The Maintenance Supervisor provides leadership and supervision to the Maintenance team engaged in the troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of facility equipment. Strives to ensure safety, quality and maximum production efficiencies to meet and support the facility overall.

Overseeing, planning and issuing work orders to appropriate team members for the implementation of equipment modifications, preventative maintenance and any corrective maintenance
Coordinates repairs and maintenance activities facility management and departments as necessary
Remaining active on the floor including providing any “hands-on” trouble shooting and maintenance of production equipment
Enforcing all plant rules, monitors attendance and provides corrective action (discipline) as necessary
Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary
Manage relationships with contractors and service providers
Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities
Follows preventive maintenance program for all equipment
Maintains electronic and paper maintenance records
Organizes and enforces sanitation procedures
Monitors grounds for proper care and appearance
Works closely with management on safety and sanitation issues
Monitors and organizes outside contractors for quality and cost effectiveness
Available for on call duties
Professionally address issues with employees utilizing the proper resources

Encourage the growth of all direct and indirect reports through skill development and goal setting
Hold direct reports accountable for meeting performance standards and departmental performance goals
Mentor employees, measure performance, and complete regular performance reviews
Resolve employee issues in an effective and consistent manner
Job Qualifications
Post high school mechanical or building trades, or equivalent combination of education and work experience accepted
Three (3) – Five (5) years of experience in building trades and/or machine repairs, including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.
Three (3) – Five (5) years of experience in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of material handling equipment, conveyor systems, and automated equipment
Competent computer skills, and experience using computerized maintenance systems is preferred
Strong organization skills, attention to detail and follow through to resolve any outstanding issues
Strong time management skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to read, understand and utilize equipment manuals
Ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task
Ability to effectively communicate with and manage outside contractors
Possess internal customer service skills
Knowledge of current laws and standards applicable to equipment and building maintenance, and facility security
Ability to evaluate procedures and initiate improvements
Must have reliable transportation if assigned to multiple facilities

In general, the building’s primary work area consists of pallet storage racking, roller storage and small item storage shelving. The facility uses powered conveyor systems for the transportation of products. Pallet jacks and forklifts are used for palletized products. Some positions require use of safety equipment, which is provided as needed.
