Inside Sales Manager

The Inside Sales Manager for Animal Health, International manages the Inside Sales Team in the Ceres, CA location. This role is responsible for managing sales and gross profit budgets in assigned territories as well as supervision of sales office functions ensuring efficient and profitable direction toward achievement of goals. The Inside Sales Manager leads customer service and sales team performance, including productivity, revenue generation, quality, and accuracy. The Inside Sales Manager is also responsible for employee engagement, knowledge, and skills development.

  • Lead team of inside sales representatives and/or customer service representatives, and/or other sales personnel aligned with customer service and inside sales team.

  • Communicate operational issues through the proper channels to ensure that all employees have current, appropriate, and accurate information as necessary to fulfill their responsibilities.

  • Effectively supervise the day-to-day operation/activities of the customer service and sales reps in order to meet high level customer satisfaction and sales goals.

  • Assist in the training and performance evaluations to develop and control sales programs.

  • Represent company at trade association meetings and other events, as needed.

  • Act as liaison between sales department and other internal and external stakeholders.

  • Analyze and control expenditures of assigned sales office and teams.

  • Prepare and analyze sales reports.

  • Support implementation and leverage technology to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of team.

  • Develop a “success driven team” driving revenue, growing portfolio of new logos, and create opportunities to enhance field sales productivity.

  • Generate revenue from new and existing customers across the full portfolio of enterprise products and services.

  • Ensure team compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

  • Manages direct reports including the hiring, development, performance management, goal setting, and other managerial duties.

  • Ensures direct reports are aware of and follow established business policies, practices, and Company’s Code of Conduct to create a supportive and productive working environment.

  • Transact all business in accordance with Company code of ethics and conduct.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Poultry Science, Animal Science, Management, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and/or related work experience; and a minimum of three (3) years of experience with a proven track record in sales, animal health/ag products, healthcare distribution

  • Minimum of one (1) year of management or at least two (2) years of team leadership experience

  • Knowledge of the animal health industry

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Ability to effectively work and lead in a professional environment with rapidly shifting priorities

  • Demonstrated strength of verbal and written communication skills

  • Proven technical acumen, including proven experience with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Observable analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Management experience, including ability to effectively lead high-performing remote teams

  • SAP experience

Travel

This position will require travel as directed by business unit needs, which may include travel to company and customer locations in providing services and support.

The potential compensation range for this role is below. The final offer amount would be based on various factors such as candidate location (geographical labor market), experience, and skills. $66,800.00 - $84,300.00
