Overview


Role combines a high-level knowledge of computer and I.T. science as well as sales and marketing with a detailed insight on their application in veterinary medicine.

Responsible for the product line development, sales and integration of advanced technologies, including but not limited to CT and MRI.  Manages the pipeline for this equipment, communicates with Regional Presidents, Branch Managers, Equipment Specialists and Territory Managers in achieving sales targets for these technologies. Ensures proper implementation protocols are followed to strengthen the Patterson/Veterinarian relationship.

Develops sales for teleradiology service by developing Branch and Territory Managers knowledge and attending trade shows.  Works closely with marketing to develop programs in support of teleradiology, and with teleradiology provider to further develop the system based on customer and Territory Manager feedback.  Networks with radiologist community to recruit potential sources of radiology reads, as well as promote Patterson’s teleradiology offering.


Responsibilities


  • Develops personnel to provide training to Veterinary hospitals to integrate CT/MRI and other advanced technology into the clinic.
  • Manages key clinician relationships, developing opinion leaders, strong references and speakers for events supporting CT/MRI and other advanced technology.
  • Develops and manages pipeline for sales of CT/MRI.
  • Attends trade shows and other major selling events in support of advanced technologies and teleradiology.
  • Is responsible for the integration of advanced technologies in the veterinary clinics.
  • Schedules, attends and promotes dinner events in support of advanced technologies and teleradiology.
  • Attends Branch Sales Meetings when possible to support product offerings.
  • Develops Equipment Specialists in order that they support CT/MRI to an appropriate level prior to getting directly engaged.
  • Works with marketing to develop promotions and pricing on product offerings.
  • Creates and submits shielding plans for clinics prior to installation of CT, and coordinates with physicist on final report.
  • Assists service team when needed on field issues with CT.
  • Manages company relationship with teleradiology provider.
  • Assists teleradiology provider with new product creation and technology development.
  • Trains sales team on teleradiology enrollment and implementation into the clinic, as well as on future advances or developments in the product offering.
  • Hitting all sales goals for clinic enrollment for Patterson Teleradiology Services, and CT sales.
  • Responsible for the updating and developing the Patterson Teleradiology Website.
  • Works with marketing to integrate teleradiology ads within the framework of Pattersonvet.com and other electronic and print marketing campaigns.


Qualifications


Basic Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree, Bachelor’s degree or 2 – 5 years’ experience in the veterinary industry.
  • Ability to travel a minimum of 25 weeks a year.
  • Has strong organizational, planning, and multi-tasking skills, demonstrates sound judgment and excellent decision-making abilities, and shows a great attention to detail
  • Possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to positively contribute to the team environment by taking initiative to learn and improve upon skillsets
  • Uses technology with efficiency, including Microsoft 365 and SAP CRM and ECC platforms
  • High-level knowledge of how CT and MRI work and where they fit into a veterinary practice.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 years in-clinic veterinary experience strongly preferred.
  • Previous working experience with pipeline management.
  • Experience with veterinary radiology and advanced imaging modalities.
  • 2 – 5 years sales experience.
  • Background in computer and I.T. operations strongly preferred.
  • Strong clinical background with an understanding of medical terminology.
