About the role

We'rehiring aStaffengineer to help us build new features,interface withother systems, and helpusscale asweonboard new customers. Upcoming projects includeintegration withfutures market,tooling to streamline customeronboarding,integrations with hardware,and much more!

Whatyou'lldo

  • Write high-quality code

  • Have a high impact and own major parts of the product

  • Collaboratewith product,operations, and customer teamstoturncomplex workflows into elegantsoftware

  • Lead technical projects involving multiple engineers

  • Investigate,troubleshoot, and resolveproduction issues

  • Support product and customer supportteams, and work with other technical teams

  • Mentor other engineers

  • Gain a deep understanding of complex cattle feeding workflows – fromlogisticsto accounting

You’lljoin asmall, senior engineering team led by ourCTO (ex-Stack Overflow).We'requality-focused, aiming for excellence in a fun, friendly atmosphere.We keep meetings light, prioritize deep work, andempowerengineers to drive projects from concept to deployment.

Our tech stack includes Next.js (Typescript), PostgreSQL,GraphQL, React, Prisma, MUI. Our CI/CDuses GitHub Actions,jest, and Playwright. WedeployonVercel’sservelessplatform.

Whatwe'reseeking

Must have

  • 8+ years as a software engineer

  • Strong technical skills (anyprogramminglanguage)

  • Proven ability to deliver meaningful product or business impact

  • Experience leading multi-engineer projects

  • Autonomous and Proactive

  • Software design andsoftwarearchitectureexpertise

  • Experienceintroubleshooting issues in production

  • Greatwritten and oralcommunication skills,can communicate clearly across technical and non-technical teams

  • SQL experience

  • Located inthe USA

Nice to have

  • Experience with frontend development (React, CSS)

  • Experience withiOS / Swiftdevelopment

  • Mentoring skills

  • Infrastructure skills

  • Interest in agriculture and cattlefeeding

The potential compensation range for this role is below. The final offer amount would be based on various factors such as candidate location (geographical labor market), experience, and skills. $135,800.00 - $169,800.00
