QA Manager (Remote)
Primary Location Effingham, Illinois Job ID R105136 ApplyThe Quality Assurance Manager leads the quality assurance team members responsible for a product, key domain, or set of services for a system – inclusive of product and systems design and testing, product quality strategy and test coverage, and product and systems support and maintenance. This role plays a critical role in establishing product quality metrics and in ensuring that team members, processes and resources are in place to provide value realization and ongoing support and improvement to products and systems.

Leads team members to complete quality assurance-related activities for products and systems; creates a high-performance culture driven by strategic objectives and goals of Patterson
Develops team and individual goals and holds direct reports accountable for meeting performance standards and goals; measures staff performance and completes regular performance reviews and ranking
Partners with other leaders in software engineering to ensure quality and timely planning and delivery of products and systems within domain
Defines product quality strategy and establishes quality assurance measures and testing standards for new applications, products, and/or enhancements to existing applications, ensuring product quality throughout the software development lifecycle
Provides input for annual budget development and financial management for the functional areas
Works closely with stakeholders and business leadership to ensure understanding of quality practices and metrics and to discover product priorities and requirements
Applies industry best practices for trends and technologies and their application within domain; partners with technical leaders to influence adoption of new technical techniques, processes and tools
Oversee testing of new software to ensure integration into company systems meets functional requirements, system compliance, and technical specifications
Drives highest level support for incoming incidents from end users to resolve application and software issues.
For products under scope of regulatory quality management, ensures completion of quality related tasks within functional areas
Additional Functions
In addition to the essential functions listed above, the incumbent may perform the following additional functions.
·Provides inputs for cross-functional technical strategies and for business case creation
Facilitates completion of product software development lifecycle documentation and controls
Provides regulatory approvals for quality management records for software medical device products
Acts as process owner for designated processes within Quality Management System.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Systems, a related field or equivalent work experience
3+ years’ experience leading teams and/or projects in the testing and maintenance of multi-tiered applications through all phases of software development life cycle
Demonstrated ability to lead, communicate and work in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment
Strong knowledge of current quality, automation and test coverage strategic concepts and understanding of how multiple development technologies, languages and platforms are used to build software products
Ability to interpret customer and business needs to help build technical plans for capability and value delivery
Experience with establishing automation teams and frameworks.
Experience with software performance testing such as stress and load testing.
Proven ability to establish and drive strategic and tactical initiatives while providing conflict resolution when necessary.
Proven reporting, data analysis, data verification, and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment that is team-oriented and collaborative
Experience with corporate governance and developing business cases and return on investment analyses
Experience leading international teams
Experience with working on regulated software products.
Working Environment
Office environment – either in Patterson facility or at home/remote location
