Job Summary

As a customer licensing coordinator, you will be responsible for maintaining licenses or other purchasing authority in the operating system for customers of regulated materials for both animal health business units (production and companion).

Customer Licensing

  • Responsible for the creation and maintenance of customer licenses to allow customer to purchase various products, including, but not limited to:

    • prescription drugs

    • veterinary feed directive (VFD) feeds and medicated articles

    • controlled substances

    • restricted-use pesticides

    • hypodermic needles and syringes

    • variety of other materials whose purchase is regulated by individual manufacturer/vendor distribution agreement.

  • Responsible for the upkeep of customer licenses with proactive updates to licenses, include outreach to various responsible parties if necessary.

  • Responsible for gathering address verification to allow shipments of regulated products. This could include researching addresses, customer outreach, and outreach to various state boards.

  • Resolve order blocks on various reports within the system.

  • Provide first level of troubleshooting for sales and customer service staff regarding licensing issues.

  • Responsible for entering and maintaining plant license data for the Production business unit.

  • Responsible for following the direction of the Regulatory department as it applies to the customer base in order to keep the business units in compliance.

  • Apply outside guidance to various licensing situations.

  • Perform cross-training activities as requested.

  • Assist with various licensing projects as requested.

  • Support the Regulatory and Compliance departments as needed.

Job Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong reading and interpretation skills.

  • Ability to take direction from others.

  • Willingness and ability to adapt to a consistently evolving environment.

  • Ability to remember and apply knowledge of various state rules.

  • Capacity to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Proficiency in MS Office

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Business Administration or Information Systems, or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum 3 years related experience in a professional environment.

  • Minimum 3 years working in a team environment.

  • Proficiency in SAP.

Working Conditions

Physical Demands

  • Operating a computer or other office devices for the majority of the workday

  • May occasionally need to move packages up to 25 pounds such as office supplies or equipment

  • Must be able to communicate with others in person, over the phone, and in writing. 

  • Must be able to understand and effectively exchange accurate information with others such as coworkers, customers and vendors

  • Must be able to read and interpret various electronic and written documents.

Environmental Factors

  • This position is in an office environment in which team members occupy desks in assigned areas or at meeting/collaboration spaces within the building. The building’s primary work areas consist of desks, chairs, computers and other office equipment and devices for professional services

Travel and On-call

  • This position requires minimal travel (10%)  in a national area.

  • For this position being on-call is not required.


The potential compensation range for this role is below. The final offer amount would be based on various factors such as candidate location (geographical labor market), experience, and skills. $20.38 - $24.95
