The Equipment Procurement Specialist - Veterinary is responsible for the equipment life cycle, from start to finish. This includes supporting and coordinating with the Sales and Service departments, project planning and management for all equipment orders. This is a remote role with a preference for candidates residing in Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina or North Carolina.

Coordinates freight quotes for Equipment Procurement Specialist in order to inform customer.
Procurement of equipment orders from Equipment Specialists, Territory Sales Representatives and all internal/external customers, while determining an ideal source for purchase.
Manages invoices, prepares purchase orders, maintains equipment files, processes credits and returns.
Verifies orders upon receipt from the shipper.
Supports the installation of equipment with the Service Department, Equipment Specialist, Territory Salesperson and the Customer.
References master data vendor price lists and creates equipment files and notes in CRM.
Works closely with Service Coordinator(s) for all resource and project planning: Transacts business as needed in and out of branch inventory.
Demonstrates a commitment to Patterson’s values and professionalism through appropriate conduct at all times.
Performs other Equipment Procurement Specialist duties as assigned.
Project Management
Project planning for this position will track the entire cycle of an equipment/parts order including:
Sales order, invoicing, and punch list
Equipment orders (PO) / Timing determination between vendors and customers.
Resource planning (scheduling).
Tracks equipment shipments, and ultimate arrival in Veterinary practice.
Job Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Associate’s degree or above with general business or accounting concentration preferred, or 2-5 years equivalent experience.
Has strong organizational, planning, and multi-tasking skills, demonstrates sound judgment and excellent decision-making abilities, and shows a great attention to detail.
Possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to positively contribute to the Branch team environment by taking initiative to learn and improve upon skillsets.
Uses technology with efficiency, including Microsoft 365 and SAP CRM and ECC platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
1-3 years previous experience in the animal health.
Previous working experience with project management.
Bookkeeping/accounting experience preferred.
Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel.
Working Conditions
Physical Demands
Operating a computer or other office devices for the majority of the workday
May occasionally need to move packages up to 10 pounds such as office supplies or equipment
Environmental Factors
This position is in an office environment in which team members occupy desks in assigned areas or at meeting/collaboration spaces within the building. The building’s primary work areas consist of desks, chairs, computers and other office equipment and devices for professional services.
The potential compensation range for this role is below. The final offer amount would be based on various factors such as candidate location (geographical labor market), experience, and skills. $23.17 - $28.37
