Patterson Companies is looking for an Infrastructure Manager II candidate to join our team and lead us as we continue to move into the cloud (Azure)!

The Infrastructure Manager II is accountable for delivering the overall architecture, design, development, and maintenance of Patterson’s IT Infrastructure technologies. Works closely with customers from a strategic perspective to identify and maximize opportunities to promote the strategic use of information technology, and enable the work force to use technologies as a competitive tool.  Participates in the development of enterprise-wide standards for products and services related to Patterson’s networks, servers, databases, data centers or personal computing environments.  Provides technology leadership, vision, and direction for IT Infrastructure technologies, in support of the enterprise’s business objectives and requirements. Leads and leverages people and business solutions to improve and maximize business process.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the effort to develop an enterprise Infrastructure technology strategy including a multiyear implementation roadmap
    • Create an actionable plan to deliver assigned components
  • Work collaboratively with all business areas to assess unmet/new business needs and solutions
  • Provide leadership to the staff by creating a high performance culture, driven by strategic objectives and goals of Patterson
  • Establish short-term and long-term metrics for departmental  goals and implementation of the enterprise Infrastructure strategy
  • Work closely with business/department leaders to ensure understanding of business processes, reporting requirements and analytical needs
  • Maintain current knowledge of IT Infrastructure  trends and technologies and their use to increase productivity and improve quality of Patterson’s operations
  • Work with IT and business teams to understand requirements and manage projects through all phases of the development life cycle utilizing project management methodologies & principles
  • Manage the staff by providing direction, mentorship, developmental opportunities and performance feedback
  • Promote a positive team environment within the Patterson Information Technology group
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Systems, a related field or equivalent work experience
  • 6 to 8 years of IT and business/industry work experience, with at least 3 years of leadership experience in managing multiple, large, cross-function teams and projects
  • Experience in strategic planning, development, implementation and maintenance of large-scale, integrated systems
  • Experience in a variety of IT Infrastructure  technologies and architectures
  • Broad knowledge of technology related to corporate networks, servers, databases, and client computing solutions
  • Experience leading as a team player that plans and executes to meet deadlines, while promoting a positive work environment
  • Ability to interact with and influence cross-functionally at all levels of the organization

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud platforms and services (Azure, O365 ).
  • Strong technical background in developing IT Infrastructure strategies and standards
  • Deep experience in IT Infrastructure and Architecture, and industry best practices
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and work in a collaborative, cross-functional, international team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work with and influence senior level management and key stakeholders
