Internal Audit Intern
Primary Location Minneapolis-St. Paul-Bloomington, Minnesota Job ID R108259 ApplyPatterson Companies has an exciting opportunity to participate in our summer internship program as an Internal Audit Intern. This internship runs from June to August 2025. The intern will participate in meaningful work, along with making contributions to team efforts in our fast paced, people first corporate environment. This internship will be a hybrid position working both remotely and on site at our corporate office located in Eagan, MN.
As an Internal Audit Intern for Patterson Companies, you will have an opportunity to perform a variety of audit activities and projects as part of our Internal Audit team. As you perform the responsibilities of an internal auditor, you will learn about our entire Company, while developing your skills and experiences in areas that are critical to your career success in Finance and Accounting, including business partnership, critical and analytical thinking, written/verbal communication, and project management.
Responsibilities:

Participate in interviews with business process owners to better understand business processes being assessed as part of an engagement, including operational or compliance audits and consultations.
Gather and analyze risk and control information related to business processes being assessed.
Create audit workpapers to support the analysis of risks and controls, including audit procedures and developing conclusions.
Utilize analytical tools and techniques to identify patterns, anomalies, and potential areas of risk or inefficiency.
Assist with presenting audit results to Internal Audit leadership and business partners
Required Qualifications
Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or another related field
Strong problem-solving capabilities
Strong analytical and communication skills
Highly collaborative with a desire to learn in a professional environment
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Word and Power Point
Our corporate office is in an environment in which team members occupy desks in assigned areas or at meeting/collaboration spaces within the building. The building’s primary work areas consist of desks, chairs, computers and other office equipment and devices for professional services.
The compensation for this role will be $21/hr.
The starting pay for this role is $20 - $25 per hour.
