Inventory Specialist

The Inventory Specialist is primarily responsible for managing IT asset inventory, including computer hardware, cell phones and peripherals. This role also has responsibilities for organizing, maintaining and auditing the IT asset warehouse, receiving and shipping product, and conducting regular inventories. This role also supports corporate HQ facilities team functions.

Essential Functions

  • Manage IT asset warehouse operations by receiving & shipping products and maintaining organized racking and shelving to ensure efficient storage and retrieval
  • Adhere to ServiceNow Incident and Task Management procedures to ensure timely and accurate documentation of all activities
  • Perform periodic inventory counts in compliance with company policy to maintain accurate asset records and maintain and refresh IT asset inventory on a monthly basis to ensure availability and readiness for deployment
  • Communicate effectively with support teams and management to facilitate prompt resolution of incidents and requests
  • Supports all Facilities team functions as needed
  • Comply with Company and department policies and standards; performs other duties as assigned


Additional Responsibilities

  • Provide support to other roles within the team as needed


Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 2 years experience with inventory control/management or warehouse operations


Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to learn processing of shipping packages through UPS/FedEx and other carriers
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Highly motivated, ability to take ownership of assignments, and able to work efficiently in an independent setting
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to accomplish assigned task
  • Ability to identify computer hardware and accessories

Environmental Conditions

  • Office: This position primarily operates in a professional office environment in which team members occupy desks in assigned areas or at meeting/collaboration spaces within the building. The building's primary work areas consist of desks, chairs, computers, and other office equipment and devices for professional services.
  • Facility: This position is in a fulfillment center. The fulfillment center is a warehouse for the storage and distribution of dental and/or animal health supplies and equipment. In general, the building’s primary work area consists of pallet storage racking, roller storage, and small item storage shelving. The facility may use powered conveyor systems for the transportation of products. Pallet jacks and forklifts are used for palletized products. Some positions require use of safety equipment, which is provided as needed.


Travel Requirements

  • 5% Travel to MN Dental Branch when necessary to support onsite facility request(s)


The potential compensation range for this role is below. The final offer amount would be based on various factors such as candidate location (geographical labor market), experience, and skills. $20.91 - $25.58
