Senior Change Management Specialist

The Senior Change Management Specialist is responsible to create and implement change management strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption and usage and minimize resistance for enterprise-wide and other large-scale change initiatives. The Senior CMS is responsible for coaching IT and Business partners on Organizational Change Management best practices while executing on the change strategy components. This role applies change management methodology, frameworks, processes and tools to help enable successful business outcomes, with focus on the people side of change; including changes to business processes, systems and technology, job roles and organization structures.

Essential Functions

  • Develop and implement change management strategies and plans to support the adoption and utilization of new processes, systems, and technologies; Develop, support and execute business readiness, leadership engagement, communications, and education and post-launch sustainment events to further adoption and project success
  • Conduct needs assessments to gather and clarify requirements; deliver recommendations to stakeholders on best practice approach to transition the organization and its capabilities from current to target state while mitigating the potential resistance to change
  • Create and develop communication plans to effectively communicate changes to stakeholders to execute a smooth transition
  • Provide guidance and coaching to leaders and teams to support them in adapting to change and overcoming resistance to include the development of training materials and delivery of training sessions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address barriers to change and develop solutions to mitigate risks
  • Define success metrics, monitor & evaluate the effectiveness of change initiatives, and adjust as needed to ensure desired outcomes are achieved
  • Serve as the day-to-day change lead ensuring the progress of the change plan deliverables against established objectives, budget, timeline, deliverables and quality standards; Provide project updates to leadership
  • Facilitate internal collaboration, knowledge sharing and learning and development cooperation between OCM team, Business stakeholders, and vendor partners
  • Comply with Company and department policies and standards; performs other duties as assigned


Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or similar field or equivalent education and/or experience
  • 5 years of experience in organizational change management for a large organization applying change methodologies and common tools to business initiatives and projects
  • 2 years experience in corporate communications, training and/or project management
  • 2 years Experience coaching the project executive to effectively lead their organization through change, building tactical sponsorship plans and messaging for them to use


Preferred Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Business, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or similar field
  • 2 years Experience with Strategic Planning
  • 3 years Experience with large-scale organizational change
  • 2 years Formal training and experience with change management principles and methodologies, including both waterfall and agile models of delivery

  • Strong understanding of change management principles, methodologies, and best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Proven ability to develop and execute change management plans that drive successful adoption and utilization of new initiatives
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address barriers to change and develop appropriate solutions
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation by promoting change readiness and agility across the organization
  • Continuously identifying practices to develop and apply tools, techniques, and approaches to managing change throughout various levels of the organization

Travel Requirements

  • 5% May include some travel.


The potential compensation range for this role is below. The final offer amount would be based on various factors such as candidate location (geographical labor market), experience, and skills. $94,100.00 - $117,700.00
