This includes being involved in understanding the business impact of the necessary work and creating solutions to realize that impact by leading research, design, documentation, and modification of software specifications throughout the development life cycle.
*This role will be Hybrid (2-days a week in office) if you are located within 50 miles of our Corporate Offices in either Mendota Heights, MN or Loveland, CO. In-person attendance is expected to foster collaboration, innovation, and team connection.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Technical Contributions: Design, develop, and rigorously test assigned software components, following established development methodologies. Diagnose and resolve complex software issues by analyzing root causes and assessing their impact on system performance. This role is expected to be primarily backend with some light front end work.
Integration Leadership: Lead the design and development of integrations with multiple external vendors, ensuring secure, scalable, and seamless connectivity across systems and internal products.
Technical Leadership: Conduct design and code reviews, influence technical direction within a team or product area and mentor other engineers.
Collaboration & Communication: Work cross-functionally with product managers, architects, and QA to deliver well-aligned, end-to-end solutions.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS
In addition to the essential functions listed above, the incumbent may perform the following additional functions.
· Participate in regulatory, security and compliance activities.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Systems, a related field, or equivalent work experience.
5+ years of software development experience, with experience in all aspects of software development and product life cycles.
Deep proficiency in C# and .NET (framework and dotnet 8/10), with an emphasis on writing clean, maintainable, testable, and performant code using modern design patterns and principles (SOLID, etc.).
API Design & Governance: Experience designing, documenting, and maintaining RESTful or GraphQL APIs
Cloud-Scale Systems: Practical experience deploying, scaling, and managing cloud applications on Microsoft Azure or AWS. Hands-on experience developing and operating software in high-traffic, high-transaction, or high-concurrency environments where performance and availability are critical.
Production Observability: Demonstrated ability to design and implement observability practices including logging, tracing, metrics, and alerting; familiarity with tools such as Application Insights, Grafana, Prometheus, or OpenTelemetry.
Event-Driven Architecture: Proven experience designing and implementing asynchronous, message-based, or event-driven systems
Testing & Quality: Demonstrated commitment to quality through unit testing, integration testing, and code review practices.
CI/CD & DevOps Practices: Experience building and maintaining continuous integration and deployment pipelines
Collaboration & Communication: Strong ability to work cross-functionally with product managers, architects, and QA to deliver well-aligned, end-to-end solutions.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Security-First Mindset: Strong understanding of identity, authentication (OAuth2/OpenID Connect), authorization, and data protection within distributed systems strongly preferred.
Integration Leadership: Proven experience leading the design and development of integrations with multiple external vendors, ensuring secure, scalable, and seamless connectivity across systems and internal products.
Experience in micro front-end architecture, JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks (e.g., Angular, React)
Scalability & Resilience: Ability to design systems with fault tolerance, retry logic, idempotency, and graceful degradation to handle transient failures and peak loads.
Azure Expertise: Strong knowledge of App Services, Redis, Azure Functions, Service Bus, Event Grid, Key Vault, and Azure SQL and Azure DevOps, automated pipelines

The compensation range for this role is below.
$125,000 - $155,000
The potential compensation range for this role is below. The final offer amount would be based on various factors such as candidate location (geographical labor market), experience, and skills. $106,400.00 - $133,000.00
