Supply Chain Demand Planner (Remote - MN Only)

Job Summary

The Supply Chain Demand Planner is a highly skilled supply chain professional. The Supply Chain Demand Planner’s main responsibility is to proactively manage, analyze and adjust statistical demand forecasts in SAP for purchasing, and perform high level category analysis of demand for the purpose of reconciling category forecasts with category management team.

Essential Functions

  • High level category analysis
    • Develop and implement tools for high level category analysis.
    • Create and present visualizations of data.
    • Collaborate with category managers and reconcile forecasts on a monthly basis.
    • Identify market sales trends and proactively adjust forecast parameters.
    • Assist in development of demand planning “lite” tool.
    • Establish and measure forecast accuracy.
  • SAP Management
    • Identify and address anomalies in sales history
    • Manage forecast methods and parameters in SAP
    • Analyze and plan for marketing/promotional impact on demand.
    • Set up new materials using reference material functionality or manually adding consumption.
    • Validate settings (forecast profile).
    • Support onboarding of new (R)DSOs.
    • Quarterly analysis of sales volume and consistency. Update to accommodate gaps in demand, etc
    • Prepare any necessary training documents related to demand planning/forecasting.
    • In addition to the essential functions listed above, the incumbent may perform the following additional functions.
    • Performs other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

·Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, math, statistics, engineering or related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills with ability influence others from different functional areas and levels within and outside the organization through concise communication of complex topics.
  • Adept at using and developing ad hoc tools via Excel, Access, BI reporting, or other statistical software, etc.
  • Proficiency in using PowerPoint.

  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to independently organize work, decision making and analytical skills
