Supply Chain Planning Specialist (Remote)

The Supply Chain Planning Specialist is the central point through which all internal Customer Service, Field Sales, and Distribution Center questions are to be registered. The Supply Chain Planning Specialist supports the Supply Chain Planners by acting upon routine tasks or questions from the field, in addition to gathering information for new item and reactivation requests in SAP and NGS.

Essential Functions

  • Provides all necessary support to branch Customer Service regarding the extension of items into warehouses, product availability, stocking requests, reactivation requests, freight quotes, purchase order status and cancellation of non-stock orders.

  • Continuously maintain centralized backorder reports (AHI)

  • Work directly with vendors to capture all necessary information required for new product set ups and reactivations

  • Traces undelivered shipments and determines appropriate action to be taken and updates the purchase orders with shipping updates and tracking information

  • Assists Supply Chain Planners in managing their assigned products: updates on backorders, discontinuations, and stocking changes

  • Pass discontinuation notices and product updates along to Product Data Corporate

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in business or equivalent experience and education

  • Proficiency in SAP and MS Office:  Word, Excel, PowerPoint

  • Ability to handle several assignments simultaneously.

  • Able to solve problems and utilize various search engines/websites to locate necessary information

  • Strong follow-up, analytical, organizational, verbal and written communication skills

  • Must be a self-starter, detailed oriented, and have the ability to work effectively as an individual and as a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of and/or experience in a Distribution/ Logistics environment

  • Knowledge of and/or experience working with ERP systems

  • Knowledge of and/or experience in animal health field


The potential compensation range for this role is below. The final offer amount would be based on various factors such as candidate location (geographical labor market), experience, and skills. $16.88 - $21.30
