Bench Service Technician

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and resourceful person to help out the Technical Department’s dynamic team at our Vancouver branch. As a Bench Service Technician, you will have to make the necessary repairs on a variety of dental appliances and other related products. You will have to learn and follow the manufacturers' repair instructions.

Essential Functions

• Obtain the necessary approvals from the customer by submitting a repair cost assessment.
• Repair, gauge, modify and update defective equipment in accordance with manufacturer's technical specifications.
• Meet deadlines according to established standards.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and testing results.
• Manage loaner fleet (repair and availability).
• Have a sound understanding of equipment operation to be able to provide the necessary support to customers on usage and maintenance.
• Be a reference source for other technicians.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

• Electronics diploma or any other relevant experience.
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• 2-3 years of repair work experience.
• Strong organizational skills, sound judgment and excellent decision-making abilities.
• Excellent computer skills.
• Knowledge of the dental or medical industry is an asset.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
