National Account Executive

The National Account Executive develops and manages strategic customer relationships to drive revenue growth, customer retention, and long-term business partnerships within assigned national accounts. This role independently leads complex sales opportunities, navigates lengthy sales cycles, and serves as a trusted advisor to senior customer stakeholders while identifying and implementing growth strategies aligned with customer needs and organizational objectives.
Essential Functions:
Develop and execute account strategies that strengthen relationships with strategic customers, expand customer engagement, and achieve revenue growth objectives within assigned accounts.
Identify, develop, and close complex sales opportunities by aligning organizational products and services with customer business needs and priorities.
Lead strategic account planning and conduct regular business reviews with senior customer stakeholders to assess needs, evaluate performance, and identify growth opportunities.
Manage complex sales cycles, including presentations, proposals, negotiations, and contract discussions, to secure long-term customer commitments and business results.
Support government and public sector sales activities by coordinating responses to requests for proposals (RFPs), bid opportunities, and contract requirements while ensuring compliance with applicable procurement guidelines.
Collaborate with internal sales, marketing, operations, and support teams to develop customer solutions, resolve issues, and deliver a positive customer experience.
Analyze account performance, market trends, customer needs, and competitive information to recommend and implement strategies that improve customer retention and revenue growth.
Lead cross-functional initiatives related to strategic accounts, providing subject matter expertise, coaching, and guidance to support successful execution and customer outcomes.
Comply with Company and department policies and standards; performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
5 years experience in account management, business-to-business sales, enterprise sales, or related customer-facing roles
Preferred Requirements:
Experience working with Dental Service Organizations (DSOs) or multiple practices
Experience managing complex sales opportunities involving lengthy sales cycles and multiple decision makers
Skills and Abilities:
Strong knowledge of strategic account management, consultative selling, and enterprise sales methodologies
Advanced skills in customer relationship management used to develop long-term partnerships and increase customer value
Strong communication skills which engage customers while presenting solutions, negotiating agreements, and influencing decision-makers
Leadership and project coordination capabilities to guide cross-functional initiatives and influence outcomes without direct authority
Attention to detail in managing contracts, proposals, compliance requirements, and customer commitments
Travel Requirements:
This position requires occasional travel to customer sites within a regional area and travel nationally for conferences.
This position is paid on a commission basis.
