Sales Training Specialist
Primary Location Minneapolis-St. Paul-Bloomington, Minnesota Job ID R110653 ApplyThe Sales Training Specialist is responsible for the development, maintenance, and delivery of the sales onboarding, training programs, and processes that enhance the effectiveness and performance of the sales team. This role equips new hires with the skills, confidence and knowledge needed to succeed from day one, and partners with sales leaders to ensure new hires ramp up quickly and effectively. This role applies sales and training knowledge to assess needs, design learning solutions, deliver high-impact training sessions and evaluate program outcomes in support of business and revenue objectives. In addition, this role equips new hires and tenured sales team members with skills and knowledge to be successful in selling products, software and services.
Essential Functions
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of new hire onboarding for new sales professionals and maintain frequent contact with them and their managers during their first 90 days to ensure early success in the field
- Design, develop and deliver training programs in-person, live online, and on-demand training programs covering sales process, product knowledge, tools, messaging and role-specific skills
- Create, maintain and update training materials, playbooks and job aids, and regularly review overall training programs to improve engagement and outcomes
- Partner with subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy, relevancy, and alignment with business strategies
- Monitor and measure training effectiveness through assessments, performance metrics and feedback loops; track new-hire progress to identify opportunities to accelerate and improve onboarding
- Support additional Sales Enablement and Training initiatives as needed
- Comply with Company and department policies and standards; performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Communications, Sales, Training, or a related field, or equivalent education and/or experience
- 2 years sales training, sales operations, sales enablement or frontline sales role and
- Experience working in a B2B sales environment and
- Experience delivering training or enablement programs to sales audiences
Preferred Requirements
- Frontline sales experience
- Dental industry experience
- Experience with Salesforce, CRM, Workday and/or Seismic platforms
Skills and Abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, exceptional facilitation skills with the ability to engage and influence sales audiences
- Practical understanding of sales processes, buyer behaviors, and consultative selling techniques
- Ability to design, create, and deliver effective training content in live, virtual, and on demand formats
- Knowledge of adult learning principles or curriculum design; ability to assess training effectiveness and apply insights to continuously improve programs and content
- Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple training initiatives effectively
- Effective collaboration skills to work with cross functional teams and stakeholders
- Ability to develop, coach, and mentor others in sales skills and behaviors.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, including Power Point and Excel

- This position may require occasional travel, up to 15%
The potential compensation range for this role is below. The final offer amount would be based on various factors such as candidate location (geographical labor market), experience, and skills. $29.04 - $35.58
