Support Specialist - Strategic Accounts

The Strategic Account Support Specialist will be responsible for supporting the relationship between Patterson Veterinary and our designated Strategic Accounts as well as providing internal support for the Strategic Account Managers and Strategic Account Coordinators. The SASS will also partner with other teams within Patterson as needed to maintain and grow our position in the SA market.

Essential Functions

  • Support Patterson’s priorities by exhibiting the abilities to be passionate, focused, people-first and always advancing

  • Provide comprehensive customer support within the SA group-specific mail boxes for returns, logistics issues, product inquiries and any others as needed

  • Provide order entry support for SA customers who utilize pallet shipping

  • Generate reports for sales data, equipment tracking and any customer specific requests

  • Serve as a liaison for 865 customers and all other PVS teams to manage backorder lists, order cancellation/modification, DEA order issues, order shortages etc

  • Use PowerApps to resolve contract pricing issues, shipping issues, returns etc

  • Participate in internal and external training

  • Stay up-to-date with new product launches and communicate to customers as requested

  • Maintain new practice welcome kits and follow up with PL certificates

  • Identify gaps in service or processes and propose solutions to benefit the team and the customer

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with order entry and multiple functions of SAP CRM

  • Two of more years of experience within the veterinary field

  • PC skills, preferably in Excel and SmartSheet

  • Understanding of contract pricing

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to analyze and propose solutions

Physical Demands

  • Operating a computer or other office devices for the majority of the workday

  • May occasionally need to move packages up to 10 pounds such as office supplies or equipment

  • Must be able to communicate with others in person, over the phone, and in writing. 

  • Must be able to understand and effectively exchange accurate information with others such as coworkers, customers and vendors

  • Must be able to read and interpret various electronic and written documents.


The potential compensation range for this role is below. The final offer amount would be based on various factors such as candidate location (geographical labor market), experience, and skills. $18.37 - $22.50
