Cash Application Specialist II

Cash Applications Specialist will be responsible for timely processing of all incoming customer payments including lockbox, wires, credit card, E-payment and under direct supervision.  Processing will include both balance forward and invoice specific application.  They will also be responsible for processing customer adjustments, write-offs, debits, credits, seminar/training fees and services charges.  Will require frequent communication with Account Specialists and Patterson customers. Cash Applications Specialist will report directly to the Cash Application Supervisor and will also work closely with Branch personnel.

Additional functions

  • Daily order to cash transaction processing for all customer segments and all payment types.   
  • Review unapplied payments & assist in cash reconciliation process.  
  • Notify Account Specialists of non-sufficient funds payments and handle associated system charge-back of payment.   
  • Effectively manage transaction processing efficiency and accuracy while maintaining a positive customer service culture 
  • Engage in and suggest continuous process improvement ideas 
  • Ensure that all activities are performed in the most efficient and effective manner possible 
  • Assist in cross-training and backup across all business units. 
  • Assist in collection of audit backup, as requested by manager and/or internal teams. 
  • Manage shared inboxes as assigned. 
  • Complete additional tasks assigned by manager/supervisor.  
  • Has been able to identify an area to grow into a SME (Subject Matter Expert) 
  • Is cross trained into two business units for transaction processing. 

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree, high school diploma and at least 3+ years of related experience, or equivalent.  
  • Possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills  
  • Positively contribute to the Shared Services team environment 
  • Exhibits organizational, problem solving, multi-tasking skills, attention to detail, and basic decision-making authority.

The potential compensation range for this role is below. The final offer amount would be based on various factors such as candidate location (geographical labor market), experience, and skills. $20.91 - $25.58
