National Key Account Executive - Dental

Are you a relationship-driven sales professional who thrives on building strategic partnerships and driving business growth? As a National Key Account Executive, you'll play a key role in managing high-value dental industry accounts, strengthening long-term customer relationships, and influencing business strategy through market insights and competitive intelligence. You'll collaborate with executive-level stakeholders, identify growth opportunities across key regions, and help shape the future success of our strategic accounts while exceeding sales objectives.


Essential Functions

  • Support onboarding of new and existing customers

  • Formulary Management for existing customers

  • Develop and analyze reporting and KPI for both internal and external presentations and review

  • Prepare and deliver Quarterly and Annual business reviews per the needs of the customer

  • Facilitate customer account needs

  • Grow existing customers through identifying customer needs through new products, technology, software, and clinical/operational procedures

  • Collaborate in partnership with Sales Specialist / Executive, Equipment Sales Specialist, and all other members of the Patterson Dental team

  • Collaborate in partnership with Field sales teams, Branch Team, Regional president, and other key organizational partners

  • Collaborate in partnership with key manufactures

  • Comply with Company and department policies and standards; performs other duties as assigned


Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in sales, business, economics, finance or related major or equivalent education and/or experience.

  • 5 years of experience in account or project management role.


Preferred Requirements

  • Experience working in business-to-business with a field-based sales organization.

  • Industry networking contacts within the North American market.

  • Experience working in a Dental Service Organization.


Skills and Abilities

  • Proven relationship building skills; ability to work creatively and independently to develop strong relationships.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to drive changes within the organization to meet evolving business needs.

  • Excellent communication verbal, written, and presentation skills to internal and external parties at various levels.

  • Strong track record of achieving results individually and through the leadership of others.

  • Commitment to innovation, integrity, and partnership.

  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

  • Ability to quickly learn and utilize new systems and software.

Travel Requirements

  • Up to 30% travel including occasional overnights.


This position is paid on a commission basis.
