Security Lead - IAM
Primary Location Minneapolis-St. Paul-Bloomington, Minnesota Job ID R108475 ApplyThe Security Lead is responsible for providing continuous oversight into the planning, design, buy-in, testing, and implementation phases of multiple information security projects to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Patterson's information assets and systems. This lead role mentors team members and provides technical design and leadership while integrating best practices for the associate security platforms and advocates security solutions across Security, IT, and Business teams.
Essential Functions
Serve as the primary technology lead for the proper design, deployment, integration and configuration of security solutions and enhancements to existing security solutions
Lead team as the key contributor for the establishment of baselines for monitoring systems and applications for security related issues
Create and ensure compliance with security standards, processes, and procedures
Oversee timely resolution of alerts, service requests, and incidents
Mentor other teammates including performance development and feedback
Provide project management expertise and actively collaborate with internal IT and business stakeholders and external vendors to prioritize security risks, provide mitigation or remediation recommendations, and implement security controls
Comply with Company and department policies and standards; performs other duties as assigned
Implement and manage IAM capabilities, including Identity Governance and Administration (IGA), Access Management, Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and Privileged Access Management (PAM)
Develop and maintain IAM policies, procedures, and best practices that align with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g. SOX, HIPAA, PCI, GDPR, NIST-CSF)
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Security, DevOps, IT, Business teams to integrate IAM solutions into enterprise applications and systems
Automate and streamline IAM processes to ensure efficiency, scalability, and consistency
Develop and maintain IAM documentation, including policies, procedures, and configurations
Drive the integration of IAM technologies and solutions with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's Degree with an emphasis in security, technology, or engineering or equivalent education and/or experience
7 years experience in information technology, cyber security, or information security
Experience in mentoring individuals and teams
Technical experience implementing and managing identity solutions for IGA, SSO, MFA, and PAM
Experience with cloud environments (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) and hybrid cloud architectures
Skills and Abilities
Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (e.g. PowerShell, Python, Ansible) for IAM management
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills in a complex, multi-platform environment
Proven ability to lead technical projects and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Familiarity with DevOps practices and integrating IAM into CI/CD pipelines
Understanding of Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), Principal of Least Privilege (PoLP), and Zero Trust security models
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Environmental Conditions
Office: This position primarily operates in a professional office environment in which team members occupy desks in assigned areas or at meeting/collaboration spaces within the building. The building's primary work areas consist of desks, chairs, computers, and other office equipment and devices for professional services.

The potential compensation range for this role is below. The final offer amount would be based on various factors such as candidate location (geographical labor market), experience, and skills. $120,200.00 - $150,300.00
