Supply Chain Planning Specialist
Primary Location , Texas Job ID R111302 ApplyThe Supply Chain Planning Specialist is the central point through which all internal Customer Service, Field Sales, and Distribution Center questions are to be registered. Supports the Planners by acting upon routine tasks or questions from the field, in addition to gathering information for new item and reactivation requests in SAP and NGS.

Provides all necessary support to branch Customer Service regarding the extension of items into warehouses, product availability, stocking requests, reactivation requests, freight quotes, purchase order status and cancellation of non-stock orders.
Continuously maintain centralized backorder reports (AHI)
Work directly with vendors to capture all necessary information required for new product set ups and reactivations
Traces undelivered shipments and determines appropriate action to be taken and updates the purchase orders with shipping updates and tracking information
Assists Supply Chain Planners in managing their assigned products: updates on backorders, discontinuations, and stocking changes
Pass discontinuation notices and product updates along to Product Data Corporate
Performs other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Associate’s degree in business or equivalent experience and education
Proficiency in SAP and MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Ability to handle several assignments simultaneously.
Able to solve problems and utilize various search engines/websites to locate necessary information
Strong follow-up, analytical, organizational, verbal and written communication skills
Must be a self-starter, detailed oriented, and have the ability to work effectively as an individual and as a team.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of and/or experience in a Distribution/ Logistics environment
Knowledge of and/or experience working with ERP systems
Knowledge of and/or experience in animal health field

Physical Demands
Operate a computer or other office devices for the majority of the workday
May occasionally need to move packages up to 10 pounds such as office supplies or equipment
Must be able to clearly and effectively communicate with others in person, over the phone, and in writing.
Must be able to understand and effectively exchange accurate information with others such as coworkers, customers, and vendors
Must be able to read and interpret various electronic and written documents.
Environmental Factors
This position could be located in an office or remote. If in an office environment - team members occupy desks in assigned areas or at meeting/collaboration spaces within the building. The building’s primary work areas consist of desks, chairs, computers and other office equipment and devices for professional services.
The potential compensation range for this role is below. The final offer amount could exceed this range, based on various factors such as candidate location (geographical labor market), experience, and skills. $23.17 - $30.13
